Car theft gang member arrested; five stolen vehicles worth over Rs10 million recovered

WAH CANTT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) Saddar Wah Police have arrested a member of an inter-district car theft gang and recovered five stolen vehicles valued at over Rs10 million during a targeted operation, officials said.

Police sources revealed that the arrested suspect was part of an organized gang involved in stealing vehicles from various areas of Rawalpindi and transporting them to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for illegal sale.

Acting on intelligence-based leads, authorities conducted a focused raid, which led to the suspect’s apprehension and recovery of the stolen cars. Officials added that further operations are underway to arrest other members of the gang.

Authorities noted that effective policing strategies and enhanced security measures by Rawalpindi Police have significantly reduced incidents of car theft and vehicle snatching in the district.
