DC visits various imambargahs,procession routes in Nawabshah

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani, along with SSP Sameer Noor Channa and Mayor Qazi Muhammad Rasheed Bhatti, visited various imambargahs, procession routes, and key locations across the city to review arrangements for Muharram-ul-Harram.

During visit, the officials inspected preparations for religious gatherings and processions, including cleanliness, street lighting, water supply, drainage, security measures, and other civic facilities to ensure smooth observance during Muharram.

The DC directed concerned departments to ensure the provision of all necessary facilities to mourners. He emphasized that cleanliness, proper lighting, uninterrupted water supply, and other municipal services must be maintained along procession routes at all times.

SSP Sameer Noor Channa said that a comprehensive security plan is being implemented to maintain law and order during Muharram, with additional police personnel to be deployed at sensitive locations. Mayor Qazi Muhammad Rasheed Bhatti assured that municipal corporation would ensure cleanliness, drainage, street lighting, and other civic services so that mourners do not face any inconvenience.

On the occasion, XEN HESCO Makhdoom Mudassir Ali briefed officials about the plan to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during Muharram, while imambargah administrators also provided details regarding procession routes and related arrangements.
