BRA advances digital tax system to facilitate businesses

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) is determined to modernize tax administration by introducing a fully digital system to facilitate taxpayers.

According to BRA, all processes under the Balochistan Sales Tax on Services Act 2015 and the BRA Act including registration, return filing, tax payment, online verification, and monitoring are now being carried out through advanced digital platforms. This initiative aims to free taxpayers from unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles and enable them to access services conveniently from their homes or offices.

The authority said that these reforms have significantly improved transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the tax system, while also promoting ease of doing business for the commercial community.

Digitalization has reduced human intervention, ensured accuracy of records, strengthened revenue monitoring, and reinforced compliance with tax laws.

BRA emphasized that taxpayer facilitation, creating a business-friendly environment, sustainable revenue growth, and provision of resources for public services remain its top priorities.
