Book Fair begins at Sindh Museum

A two-day Book Fair organized by the provincial culture department commenced to mark the World Book Day at Sindh Museum

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) A two-day Book Fair organized by the provincial culture department commenced to mark the World Book Day at Sindh Museum.

Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah inaugurated the event. Commissioner Hyderabad Fayyaz Abbasi and other officials including the Director General of culture department were also present.

The provincial minister, accompanied by the commissioner, visited various stalls set up by publishers from across the Sindh province, showcasing a wide range of books.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah emphasized that books remain a powerful source of knowledge. Literary works by renowned poets such as Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and Shaikh Ayaz had the potential to transform lives.

He urged the youth to develop a strong connection with books and cultivate the habit of reading.
