Bonnie Tyler’s summer concerts have been cancelled and moved to next year

Bonnie Tyler has woken up from a coma and is now slowly recovering.

The British singer had been in hospital in Portugal after undergoing emergency surgery for an intestinal problem. She was placed in a coma on May 8 after complications developed following the operation.

Her manager said that she is no longer in a coma, but her condition is still serious. He added that her health is improving step by step, although recovery is expected to take time. Doctors are hopeful that she will fully recover, but they have made it clear that the process will not be quick.

Due to her health situation, all of Bonnie Tyler’s summer concerts have been cancelled and moved to next year. This decision was made to allow her enough time to rest and focus on getting better without pressure.

Bonnie Tyler, whose real name is Gaynor Hopkins, became a global star in the 1980s. She is best known for her hit song “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” along with other popular tracks like “Holding Out for a Hero” and “It’s a Heartache.” Her powerful voice made her one of the most recognized singers of her time.

Tyler also represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013, finishing 19th out of 26 acts, and was made an MBE for her services to music in 2023

She and her husband, Robert Sullivan, also own a holiday apartment in Portugal, where she was staying before her medical emergency. Fans around the world have expressed concern and are wishing her a smooth and full recovery as she continues to receive treatment.
