LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Jun, 2026) Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi visited Sundas Foundation on Saturday, met children suffering from thalassemia and donated blood to express solidarity with them.
Founder President of Sundas Foundation Muhammad Yaseen Khan and Director Khalid Abbas Dar welcomed the CTO. Director Finance Ali Rauf, social leader Abdullah Malik, Media Head Imran Meher and others were also present on the occasion.
A number of traffic wardens also donated blood for children suffering from thalassemia.
Speaking on the occasion, the CTO said blood donation was one of the best means of saving human lives and urged every healthy individual in society to donate blood voluntarily. He said the lives of children suffering from thalassemia largely depended on the generosity of blood donors, adding that encouraging the younger generation to participate in blood donation drives was the need of the hour.

He said participation in welfare activities was essential for building a safe and responsible society, adding that Lahore Traffic Police remained committed to promoting the spirit of social and humanitarian service.
The CTO added that thalassemia patients relied on regular blood donations for survival and said a single bag of blood could save a life and bring happiness to a family. He added that bringing smiles to the faces of children suffering from thalassemia was a collective responsibility of society.
