DERA GHAZI KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) The Dera Ghazi Khan board of Intermediate and Secondary education (BISE) has announced the opening of applications for scholarships for Hifz students (memorizers of the Holy Quran) and children of teachers, based on the results of the 2025 Matriculation and Intermediate examinations.
According to an official notification issued by the Secretary of the Board, students with Matriculation scores between 1,140 and 1,168 are eligible to apply for Hijri Scholarships. A total of five Hifz students and five children of teachers falling within this merit range can submit their applications by March 31, 2026. The scholarship quota allocates four male students and one female student from each category.
Meanwhile, the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Scholarship has been awarded to top-performing Intermediate students of 2025:
•Pre-Medical Group: 16 students with marks between 1,147 and 1,154
•Pre-Engineering Group: 1 top-scoring female student with 1,163 marks
•General Science Group: 7 students with marks between 1,140 and 1,153
•Humanities Group: 7 students with marks between 1,058 and 1,105
Furthermore, based on the 2025 Matric results:
•74 students scoring 1,172–1,187 were declared eligible for the Quaid-e-Azam Scholarship
•28 students scoring 1,168–1,172 qualified for Hijri Scholarships
•7 female students scoring 1,171–1,172 were also selected for Hijri awards
The notification emphasized that any objections regarding the scholarships can be addressed to the Board Office within seven days of publication.
These scholarships are aimed at recognizing academic excellence and encouraging students, particularly Hifz students and children of teachers, to continue their studies with financial support.
