Bangladeshi delegation reviews tourism facilities in Murree and Patriata

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) A delegation of senior government officials from Bangladesh visited facilities operated by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) in Murree and Patriata to review tourism promotion initiatives, modern facilities and ongoing development projects in Punjab.

The delegation was taken on a special tour to Patriata Resort on an open-decker tourist bus operated by TDCP. During the journey, a professional tourist guide briefed the visitors on Murree’s natural beauty, tourist attractions and the region’s tourism potential.

Upon arrival at Patriata, the delegation was received by TDCP General Manager Operations and Deputy General Manager North, who welcomed the guests and presented bouquets. The visitors also enjoyed the chairlift ride at Patriata and praised the tourist facilities and scenic landscape.

The delegation later visited TDCP Patriata Huts via golf carts, where members inspected residential and accommodation facilities. Officials of the Tourism Department gave a detailed briefing on recent developments in the tourism sector in Murree and adjoining areas, including infrastructure improvements and upcoming projects.

The PTDC spokesperson said the initiatives were being implemented under the vision of the Government of Punjab to promote tourism, improve infrastructure and provide modern facilities for visitors.

At the conclusion of the visit, commemorative souvenirs were presented to the delegation.

The Bangladeshi delegation appreciated the Punjab government’s efforts to develop new tourist destinations, expand tourism opportunities and enhance visitor facilities across the province.
