MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) The district administration has imposed a ban on leaving open pits and low-lying areas unattended without proper safety arrangements to prevent potential hazards to public health and safety.
According to the spokesperson for the district administration, Deputy Commissioner Layyah, Asif Ali, has issued strict directives requiring landowners and responsible individuals to immediately fill, cover, or secure pits, ponds, and places where water accumulates.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that stagnant water in open pits and depressions creates ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes and poses a serious risk of drowning incidents, particularly involving children.
He warned that violations of the orders will not be tolerated. Cases will be registered against those who fail to comply, and legal action will be taken under relevant laws.
The administration has urged citizens to cooperate in ensuring a safe and healthy environment by removing potential hazards from their surroundings.
