NAWABSSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Bakhtawar Cadet College for Girls (BCCG) organized a three-day Teachers Professional Development Program (TPDP) Phase II from 21 to 23 May 2026 to promote modern teaching practices, professional growth, and effective classroom engagement.
The program featured a series of expert-led sessions on contemporary educational approaches, classroom management, reflective teaching, student engagement, and social and emotional learning.
Ms Sumera Rajput conducted a session on The Invisible Curriculum in the Classroom, while Ms Rahila Ashraf delivered a presentation on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in the Classroom. Ms Rukhsana Qurban presented on Adaptive Teaching through Reflective Practices, and Mr Zaheer Abbas Chang, Director of PITE, conducted a session titled Teaching the Distracted Generation: Strategies for Attention, Engagement and Deep Learning.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Welcoming the participants, Principal Dr Farida Shaikh highlighted the importance of continuous professional development in education and said that effective teaching requires not only subject knowledge but also empathy, confidence-building, and critical thinking. Teachers from various institutions, including Cadet College Petaro, Cadet College Larkana, Cadet College Sanghar, Government colleges, public schools, and high schools, participated in the program.
A friendly cricket match and dinner were also arranged to promote interaction among participants and guests. The closing ceremony was attended by Director General PITE, Mr Shahabuddin Mallah, as the Chief Guest. He appreciated BCCG’s efforts in organizing such meaningful professional training initiatives and emphasized the importance of teachers’ professional development for quality education.
