MANSEHRA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Prominent businessman and Chairman of Air Karachi, Hanif Gohar, has termed the Prime Minister’s “Apna Ghar Scheme” a significant and forward-looking initiative aimed at facilitating the poor and middle class.
Speaking to local journalists in his native village Dhodial here Friday after attending the inauguration ceremony at the Prime Minister House, he said the scheme would not only provide housing to the homeless but also stimulate economic activity across multiple sectors.
Gohar highlighted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has set a target of constructing 500,000 houses under the initiative, calling it a welcome development.
He noted that the move would increase demand in various industries linked to construction, including cement, steel, bricks, blocks, and sanitary materials, thereby accelerating industrial growth.
He further stated that the project would create new employment opportunities, benefiting laborers, skilled workers, and small business owners. According to him, the scheme is expected to play a vital role in public welfare while also contributing to the strengthening of the national economy.
