SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Mar, 2026) Senior politician and Provincial Minister for Local Government Sindh, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, expressed deep sorrow over the recent attacks on Iran, calling the martyrdom of Supreme Commander Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and others “extremely tragic and painful.” He said, “We all share equally in this grief and sorrow.”
In his statement on Sunday, he emphasized that emotions are high and must be respected, adding, We are all deeply saddened, but I appeal to Pakistan’s brothers and sisters, religious parties, and the public to exercise restraint, he said and he warned that turning protests into violence or taking the law into one’s own hands would only benefit the enemy’s plans.
It is our collective responsibility to keep our emotions in check, he said, noting that Pakistan’s government has supported Iran at every level, including at the United Nations and on other diplomatic fronts, to prevent war.
He added that Pakistan has strongly condemned the attacks, and now, more than ever, patience and tolerance are needed.
National unity and stability are Pakistan’s true strength at this time, he concluded.
