LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday rejected the post-arrest bail applications of 12 workers of proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in a case involving arson, vandalism, and alleged attacks on police.
ATC Judge Shahid Sikandar heard the bail applications and dismissed the applications of the accused, including Naeem Shah, Zeeshan Ahmed, Rashid, Bilal Liaquat, Muhammad Hussain, Abdullah, Abdul Majeed, and Intizar Hussain, among others.
During the proceedings, the state prosecutor opposed the bail requests, arguing that the accused were directly involved in acts of violence, including arson and assaults on law enforcement personnel.
The prosecution informed the court that the suspects were present at the scene and that sticks and batons had been recovered from their possession.
The court noted the seriousness of the allegations and denied relief to the 12 accused.
Meanwhile, the court adjourned hearings on the bail applications of other co-accused including Naveed Ahmed, Yousaf, Abdul Rehman, Shahid Iqbal, Qaiser Mehmood, and Abdul Wadood, until May 5.
A case has been registered against the accused at Shahdara Police Station under FIR No. 4979/25.
