ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Wednesday approved an 11-day physical remand of the accused in the high-profile murder case of businessman Aamir Awan.
ATC Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the case. The police produced the suspects before the court upon the completion of their previous remand.
Prosecutor Raja Naveed Hussain appeared before the court on behalf of the prosecution. He informed the court that the accused had already undergone polygraph tests.
Further investigation is required from the suspects.
We request a 20-day physical remand for each of the five accused," said Prosecutor Naveed Hussain Kayani.
The prosecution had requested physical remand of all five accused to continue the probe.
After hearing the arguments, the court granted an 11-day physical remand and directed the police to produce the accused again upon the completion of this remand period.
The case of businessman Aamir Awan's murder was registered at Shehzad Town Police Station in Islamabad.
Further investigation is underway.
