Assistive devices distributed among persons with disabilities in Mirpurkhas, two govt. jobs announced

MIRPURKHAS, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) On the occasion of the National Day of Persons with Disabilities, wheelchairs, tricycles, and other assistive devices were distributed among persons with disabilities at a ceremony organized by the Mirpurkhas Special Sports and Welfare Association (Gulistan-e-Mazooran) with the support of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD).

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Secretary Sports Munawar Ali Mahesar said that the efforts of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to empower persons with disabilities have significantly improved the lives of special individuals across the province. He also announced that an All Pakistan Wheelchair cricket Tournament would soon be organized in Mirpurkhas.

Praising the Mirpurkhas Special Sports and Welfare Association for its 25 years of service, he described the organization's performance, transparency, and efforts to promote sports as commendable and announced government jobs for two educated persons with disabilities associated with the organization.

Speaking on the occasion, the association's Patron Afaq Ahmed Khan, President Qamaruddin Malik, and Lal Baloch (IE Hyderabad) thanked the Chief Minister of Sindh, the Secretary of DEPD, the Director General, and the Regional Director Mirpurkhas for their support.

They said that, with their cooperation, wheelchairs, tricycles, and other assistive devices are being distributed among persons with disabilities from Mirpurkhas, Digri, Kot Ghulam Muhammad, Kunri, and Sindhri, enabling them to become active and productive members of society.
