ANP criticises KP Govt’s absence amid worsening law, order situation

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Feb, 2026) Head of the Awami National Party, Senator Aimal Wali Khan, on Thursday strongly reacted to what he termed the absence of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government during a deteriorating law and order situation in the province.

In a statement issued here, Aimal Wali Khan said the worsening security situation in the province was alarming and that KP was passing through a dangerous phase of instability.He said the rising incidents had raised serious questions about the performance of the provincial government.

He said that despite the gravity of the situation, the provincial government was nowhere to be seen in these critical times. However, he added that the ANP would continue to support every positive and effective step aimed at ensuring lasting peace.

The ANP chief reiterated that the protection of the people and restoration of peace in the province remained his party’s top priority.

He called for immediate and concrete measures to ensure public safety and put an end to the prevailing unrest and uncertainty in the province.
