ANF arrested seven drug suppliers, seizes 55.4 kg drugs worth Rs8.3 million

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Feb, 2026) Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out six operations in different cities across the country, arresting seven drug suppliers and seized 55.45 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs8.3 million.

According to an ANF spokesperson, one of the major recoveries was made at a courier office in Wapda Town, Lahore, where 19 kilograms of ice (crystal meth) soaked in bukram cloth and concealed inside a sherwani were recovered from a parcel destined for New Zealand.

In Karachi, ANF recovered 19.2 kilograms of hashish from an accused near the Super Highway and took him into custody.

In another operation near Kala Shah Kaku in Sheikhupura, officials seized 12 kilograms of hashish from two vehicles and arrested the suspects involved.

In Lahore, 558 grams of hashish were recovered from two motorcyclists, while three accused were apprehended during the operation.

Meanwhile, near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad, ANF recovered 3.6 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle and arrested the suspect.

In a separate operation near Sangjani Toll Plaza, Islamabad, 1.1 kilograms of hashish were recovered from another vehicle, and the accused was taken into custody.

Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997, and further investigations are underway.
