Ali Dar highlights message of peace, tolerance at Data Darbar ghusal ceremony

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Adviser to the Chief Minister Punjab on Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives and Chairman Religious Affairs Committee Ali Dar on Thursday attended the annual ghusal ceremony at the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA).

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also participated in the spiritually significant ceremony and was received by Ali Dar and Secretary Auqaf upon his arrival at the shrine.

Speaking on the occasion, Ali Dar said that the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) was a great centre of spirituality, peace, love and service to humanity. He said the teachings of the revered saint promoted compassion, tolerance, brotherhood and selfless service, while devotees visiting Data Darbar experienced spiritual solace and blessings.

He said the ghusal ceremony reflected the deep devotion, respect and spiritual attachment of the people with the shrine.

Ali Dar said that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, continuous efforts were being made for the improvement, restoration and provision of better facilities at religious sites across the province.

He added that preserving the sanctity, beauty and spiritual environment of the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) was a collective responsibility and appreciated the efforts of all departments and institutions involved in ensuring smooth arrangements for the ceremony.

The adviser said the message of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) was peace, brotherhood, love and service to humanity, which continued to inspire people from all walks of life.
