Adviser Hamza for cleanliness of city in view of possible rain on occasion of Eid-ul Fitr

Adviser to Chief Minister for Local Government (LG) and Rural Development Nawabzada Amir Hamza Zehri on Tuesday issued directives to make special arrangements for cleanliness in the city in view of possible rains on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Adviser to Chief Minister for Local Government (LG) and Rural Development Nawabzada Amir Hamza Zehri on Tuesday issued directives to make special arrangements for cleanliness in the city in view of possible rains on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

He also urged Safa Quetta to improve the cleanliness situation across the city and complete all arrangements before Eid-ul-Fitr.

Nawabzada Amir Hamza Khan Zehri said that it is imperative to ensure cleanliness in Eidgahs, mosques, Eid fairs, main highways and streets so that a clean environment could be provided to the citizens on the occasion of Eid.

He said that complaints are being received from elected public representatives from Quetta regarding the unsatisfactory cleanliness situation in some areas, therefore, immediate cleanliness measures should be taken in these areas as well on the identification of public representatives.

The Adviser for Local Government and Rural Development directed that the cleaning of the city’s rivers and canals should be completed in ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr so that drainage problems would not arise during the possible rains.

He also directed concerned department to cancel the leaves of the concerned employees to make the cleaning process effective on the occasion of Eid.

He instructed the Administrator of the Metropolitan Corporation Quetta to form a special committee to effectively monitor the cleanliness situation in the city so that the cleanliness arrangements could be maintained at all times.
