ADC (HQ) reviews arrangements in vegetable, fruit market

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Majid Bin Ahmed on Friday visited the central vegetable and fruit market Sargodha to review arrangements.

According to the spokesperson for DC office here, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, special checking operations are being carried out across all major markets in the district.

During the visit, the ADC (HQ), accompanied by the EDO (Marketing) and the Secretary market committee, closely monitored the auction process and assessed the supply and demand situation.

He directed market officials to strictly enforce the government approved price lists and warned that strict action would be taken against any violations.

The DC has instructed that officers must ensure their presence in markets according to the duty roster, keep the price control mechanism fully operational, and submit daily monitoring reports to maintain transparency and provide maximum relief to the public.

He further emphasized that continuous surveillance of markets, bazaars, and price lists will remain in place throughout Ramazan to prevent overcharging and profiteering, ensuring consumers are protected and facilitated during the holy month.
