KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) The Fine Art Committee of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized a special tribute event in honour of renowned painter Akram Spaul at the Josh Malihabadi library.
The ceremony was attended by President of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Mohammad Ahmed Shah, Akram Spaul, Noor Jehan Bilgrami, Sabiha Nasruddin, Romana Hussain, and Sheji Kazmi, who shared their thoughts and reflections on the artist’s life and work. A large number of artists and art enthusiasts attended the event, including Fine Art Committee Chairman Farukh Shahab, Shahid Rassam, Tanveer Farooqi, and several prominent figures associated with the visual arts.

Speaking on the occasion, Akram Spaul thanked Ahmed Shah for the honour and affection bestowed upon him. He remarked that painting is a divine gift bestowed by God upon those He chooses. He considered himself fortunate to have devoted his life to the service of art and emphasized that the journey of art and culture demands passion, dedication, and continuous hard work—qualities that enable an artist to grow and excel.
