AC Prova fines transporters for fare violations

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) Acting on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner, the Assistant Commissioner Prova, accompanied by Traffic Police, conducted an inspection of passenger transport vehicles at Kalachi Wala to ensure compliance with the government-approved fare schedule.

During the operation, transporters found overcharging passengers were fined, while strict warnings were issued to ensure adherence to the notified fares.

The district administration said indiscriminate action against violators would continue to protect commuters from illegal fare overcharging.
