AC inspects markets, fines shopkeepers for overcharging in DIKhan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) Acting on the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Assistant Commissioner Dera Syed Muhammad Arslan conducted a visit to the Old Vegetable Market and Imamia Gate to review price control measures and market conditions.

During the inspection, various fruit and vegetable shops, food stalls, as well as chicken and meat outlets were checked to ensure compliance with the official price list.

Several shopkeepers were fined for not displaying the government-issued price list and for overcharging customers. The administration imposed a total fine of Rs30,000 during the operation.

The district administration directed shopkeepers to prominently display the official price list at their shops and strictly adhere to the notified rates to facilitate relief for the public.
