RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) The 42nd batch of the Friends of Police Internship Programme concluded at Rawalpindi Police Lines Headquarters on Friday, held in line with the vision of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Karim. Students from various educational institutions participated in the two-week programme.
Senior police officers delivered lectures on police working and different policing domains. The interns were briefed on police station operations, Police Khidmat Markaz services, front desk management, police applications, traffic policing, and legal and judicial procedures.
As part of the programme, the students visited Special Initiative Police Stations, Police Lines Headquarters, the Command and Control Room, Traffic Headquarters, Police Khidmat Markaz Liaquat Bagh and the Legal Branch to gain practical insight into policing.
A Rawalpindi Police spokesman said the participating students and youth would be engaged in police awareness campaigns, adding that the younger generation could play a vital role in improving police working and service delivery.
“The programme aims to encourage citizens, particularly students, to support effective policing, crime prevention, narcotics control and community policing,” he said.
At the closing ceremony, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) CRO Nadeem Malik distributed certificates among the interns.
