16th Shuhada-e-Karbala conference held in Rawalpindi with deep reverence

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jun, 2026) The 16th annual grand Shuhada-e-Karbala conference was held with devotion and reverence at Jamia Masjid Sheikh Muhammad Amin, Khyaban-e-Sir Syed, Awan Market, drawing the participation from people of various schools of thought.

Addressing the gathering, Patron-in-Chief of Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia Khyaban-e-Sir Syed, Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, said that the incident of Karbala is an eternal symbol of faith, insight, truthfulness, and steadfastness against falsehood.

He stated that the great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) is a practical interpretation of the teachings of the Holy Quran, adding that many societal issues could be resolved if the Ummah adopts sincere guidance.

He urged the participants to incorporate the teachings of Imam Hussain (RA), love for Ahl-e-Bait (RA), and Quranic principles into their lives to build a righteous, ethical and a society of brotherhood and harmony.

The event was attended by Syed Faisal Riaz Hussain Shah, Syed Numan Riaz Hussain Shah, Syed Bashir Hussain Shah, Syed Sajjad Mazhar Gillani, Syed Zia-ul-Haq Shah Gillani, Allama Bashir al-Qadri, and Mufti Rizwan Anjum.

The conference was presided over by Hafiz Sheikh Muhammad Qasim and Safdar Ali Mohsin, while renowned naat khawans Zain-ul-Abideen Mithami, Alhaj Muhammad Shehzad Madni, and Qari Shehzad recited devotional naats and manqabat in tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

The conference concluded with special prayers for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, the stability and prosperity of country.
