15-day deadline issued to improve facilities at Haq Nawaz Park

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Dera, Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq, has ordered immediate corrective measures at Haq Nawaz Park after an inspection revealed serious deficiencies in public facilities, including poor sanitation, inadequate drinking water arrangements, and deteriorating infrastructure.

The visit was conducted on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dera, Hikmatullah Khan. Accompanied by officials of the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), Dr Siddiq carried out a comprehensive review of the park’s facilities and maintenance standards.

During the inspection, he noted the absence of proper drinking water facilities, unsatisfactory cleanliness, closed and poorly maintained washrooms, inadequate lighting, and the damaged condition of the walking track.

Expressing strong displeasure over the situation, he directed the authorities concerned to address all shortcomings without delay.

The assistant commissioner instructed TMA officials to complete the required improvements and submit a progress report within 15 days. He also ordered departmental action against the park in-charge and directed that a competent official be appointed in the position immediately.

Dr Siddiq emphasized that providing quality recreational facilities to the public remains a key priority of the district administration and warned that negligence in public service delivery would not be tolerated.
