SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) The district police arrested 13 proclaimed offenders and screened more than 148,000 individuals

during the last week by utilizing advanced digital applications including E-Police Post, travel Eye,

and Smart Eye.

Police spokesperson said on Monday, the crackdown was launched on the special directives

of District Police Officer Sargodha Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf to curb crimes across the district.

During the operation, the police verified credentials of over 137,000 individuals through the

E-Police Post application, which led to the apprehension of 13 POs wanted in various criminal

cases.

The spokesperson further informed that the Travel Eye and Smart Eye systems were extensively

used at bus terminals and hotels to restrict the movement of miscreants, with 10,000 people

checked via the Travel Eye app alone during the past seven days.

DPO Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf said the adoption of e-policing remains a top priority for the

department, as the real-time availability of criminal records to field officers had made it nearly

impossible for offenders to remain in hiding, significantly contributing to a decline in the regional

crime rate.
