HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) The officials of the district administrations in the Hyderabad division carried out 1,009 inspections on the third day of the holy month of Ramazan to perform the price checking and to ensure the food quality control.
A spokesman of the Commissioner Hyderabad Fayaz Hussain Abbassi informed here on Monday evening that the inspection teams found 225 violations of notified rate lists and quality by the outlets and vendors selling edible items.
He told that the authorities imposed a total of Rs185,600 fines on the violators.
According to him, 188 inspection visits were carried out in Hyderabad district, 201 in Tando Allahyar, 162 in Dadu, 98 in Sujawal, 96 in Badin, 76 in Jamshoro, 74 in Matiari, 71 in Thatta and 43 in Tando Muhammad Khan districts.He said the Divisional Commissioner had strictly directed to subordinates to implement the price list and ensure that no adulterated food items were sold in the markets.
