ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Minister of State for Interior and Narcotics Control Talal Chaudhry on Monday informed the National Assembly that the government has adopted a strict zero-tolerance policy against encroachments in Islamabad, resulting in the issuance of 1,035 notices and the removal of 184 illegal structures so far.

Responding to a question during House proceedings, the minister said that 34 permissions previously granted by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for green areas were cancelled two years ago as part of a broader enforcement drive.

He said a comprehensive survey was conducted across residential sectors of Islamabad to identify illegal encroachments in green belts and open spaces, adding that action is being taken without discrimination.
