Stylist says Met Gala looks begin nearly five months in advance.
When it comes to stealing the spotlight Zendaya never misses and now her stylist Law Roach is revealing just how much work goes into those jaw-dropping moments.
Ahead of the Met Gala 2026, Roach shared that Zendaya’s show-stopping looks don’t happen overnight in fact they begin nearly five months in advance.
During a Reddit AMA on April 30 he gave fans a peek behind the curtain explaining that everything starts with the designer’s vision before evolving into a full-blown creative journey.
From brainstorming inspiration to collaborating with top fashion houses every detail is carefully crafted to create that “wow” moment. But despite the high fashion stakes, one thing always comes first Zendaya herself.
“At the end of the day she’s the one wearing it,” Roach explained emphasizing how important her input is throughout the process.
The 47-year-old stylist who also works with stars like Ariana Grande and Celine Dion admitted that the journey isn’t all glamour. In fact, it’s intense.
“It’s months and months of hard work… for just five minutes on the carpet,” he shared, highlighting the pressure behind every iconic appearance.
Still, it’s their creative chemistry that makes the magic happen. Roach described his relationship with Zendaya as “symbiotic,” meaning anything is possible from one unforgettable dress to a thousand bold ideas.
And if history is anything to go by, fans can expect nothing less than another unforgettable fashion moment when Zendaya steps onto the Met Gala carpet.
