LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Adviser to the Chief Minister Punjab on Political Affairs Zeeshan Malik on Thursday said that providing maximum facilities and relief to the public remained the foremost priority of the Punjab government.

He said that practical steps were being taken to ensure that citizens benefited directly from welfare initiatives. He expressed these views while inaugurating a newly established Sahulat Bazaar in Nishtar Colony, situated in Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s constituency PP-159 in Lahore.

Addressing the ceremony, he said the government was committed to facilitating citizens, particularly during times of rising prices, by ensuring the availability of essential commodities at affordable and subsidised rates.

Zeeshan Malik said the Sahulat Bazaar had been equipped with modern facilities and proper arrangements to provide a convenient shopping environment for residents of the area.

He informed that the bazaar, comprising 88 shops, had been completed under his direct supervision on the special directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He added that all necessary items of daily use, including vegetables, fruits, flour, pulses and other grocery products, were being provided at controlled prices to give maximum relief to the public.

He added that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had fulfilled her promise of ensuring the availability of essential commodities at subsidised rates and that such initiatives reflected the government’s people-centric approach. He maintained that the establishment of Sahulat Bazaars in different Constituencies was aimed at protecting citizens from profiteering and artificial price hikes.
