Young man commits suicide after losing money in online gaming

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) A 20-year-old man, Malik Sajjad Ali, on Wednesday took his own life in Dhoke Miskeen, Attock, after losing money in an online gaming app.

According to police sources, his family stated that Sajjad was distressed after accumulating significant debts, with friends and family demanding repayment.

Sajjad had borrowed money to fuel his gaming habit, but couldn't cope with the financial pressure. He locked himself in a room and hanged himself, unable to escape the mental trauma.

Police responded to the incident, shifting Sajjad's body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for medico-legal formalities. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
