Youm-e-Tashakur ceremony, awareness walk held at UE

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) University of education Lahore organized a ceremony and awareness walk to observe Youm-e-Tashakur in recognition of the remarkable success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and to pay glowing tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan.

The event was attended by a large number of students, faculty members and administrative staff to promote national unity and solidarity.

Addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry said that last year, the Armed Forces of Pakistan made the entire nation proud through their exemplary services and sacrifices. Referring to the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and Marqa-e-Haq, he said the brave armed forces demonstrated exceptional professionalism, courage and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the country.

He said the university had been playing a vital role in educational innovation and academic excellence since 1877, adding that it remained committed to preparing youth for constructive participation in national development.

Talking to students, he said Pakistan’s efforts for maintaining peace and preventing conflict in the region were commendable and urged the younger generation to contribute positively towards the country’s stability, progress and prosperity.

The ceremony concluded with an awareness walk held in connection with Youm-e-Tashakur, followed by special prayers for the peace, security and prosperity of the country.
