WUM student shines in sports and theatre, brings laurels to varsity

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) The Women University Multan (WUM) continues to celebrate the achievements of its students as Umama Hassan, a fourth-semester BS Chemistry student, has brought pride to the university through her outstanding performance in sports, leadership, and theatre at institutional and national levels.

A spokesperson for the university said on Saturday that Umama Hassan has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, artistic talent, and sporting excellence. Her journey reflects dedication, creativity, and versatility across multiple fields.

She has won several medals in netball and earned recognition for her athletic performance. Alongside her studies, she is actively engaged in various leadership roles, including Media and Information Minister of JKP Parliament, President of JKP Chapter Multan, Theatre Head at TLAC, and Head of Event Management at the Student Executive Council.

She has also served in leadership positions within student societies and clubs at the university.

Umama Hassan is also recognized as a theatre artist, writer, director, and production lead. Her achievements include First Position in the Monologue Competition at UCP Takra 2026, Best Participant and Speaker Award at a workshop organized by UET Lahore, and Best Female Actor Award at the CFLI Theatre Festival “Voices of Inclusion.”

The spokesperson said that she represents the spirit of leadership, creativity, and empowerment among WUM students. The university administration expressed pride in her accomplishments and reiterated its commitment to providing students with opportunities in academics, sports, arts, and co-curricular activities.
