MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) A ceremony to mark the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” (Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos) was held at Women University Multan (WUM).
The event was organized by the Directorate of Students Affairs in collaboration with the CBS Society, Executive Student Council and Declamation Society of the university. The ceremony reflected national unity, patriotism and unwavering solidarity with the armed forces through slogans, national songs, speeches and cultural performances.
Member National Assembly Ali Qasim Gilani attended the ceremony as chief guest, while Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Uzma Qureshi, Registrar Dr Deeba Shehwar, directors, chairpersons, faculty members, media representatives and a large number of students were also present.
A rally was also taken out from the Katcheri Campus led by Ali Qasim Gilani and Dr Deeba Shehwar.
The participants carrying national flags, banners and placards raised slogans in favour of Pakistan and its armed forces.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Qasim Gilani, said that the Marka-e-Haq reflected Pakistan’s defensive strength, national unity and unwavering commitment. He paid tribute to the armed forces for their professionalism. He said the entire nation stood united with its defenders.
He also announced that efforts are being made to include a new hostel project for the students of Women University Multan in the upcoming budget.
The ceremony concluded with participants reaffirming their complete solidarity with the armed forces and pledge to continue playing a positive role for the country’s peace, progress and prosperity.
