MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2026) “Every drop of water is precious,” said Faisal Shaukat, Managing Director of WASA Multan, as he marked World Water Day with an appeal for water conservation on Sunday.

In his message, he described water as a priceless natural resource and stressed that preventing its wastage was a collective responsibility. He said World Water Day delivered a strong message about protecting and using water responsibly, urging citizens to safeguard this vital resource for future generations.

Faisal Shaukat said WASA Multan worked round the clock to ensure the supply of clean drinking water. He noted that the city’s needs were met through a network of about 1,500 kilometers of supply lines and 84 tube wells, with water supplied three times daily.

He added that special focus was placed on timely repair of leakages and improving the supply system, while curbing water wastage remained a top priority.

He urged citizens to use water carefully in daily activities, including washing dishes and clothes, performing ablution, bathing, and washing vehicles. He advised using buckets instead of hoses and adopting water-saving practices.

He concluded that conserving water was not only a civic duty but also a moral, social, and religious obligation, reaffirming WASA Multan’s commitment to ensuring clean water access and preventing wastage.
