CHICHAWATNI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) The development work is progressing at pace across the city under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s “Roads Restored, Prosperous Punjab” programme, the official sources said on Tuesday.
According to authorities, efforts led by Parliamentary Secretary for Forests and Member, the Provincial Assembly, Malik Qasim Nadeem had accelerated the implementation of multiple infrastructure projects.
A total of 41 road rehabilitation schemes are currently underway simultaneously in constituency PP-199, with an estimated cost exceeding 460 million rupees.
The officials have set a deadline June, 30 for the completion of all projects. In total, around 18.3 kilometres of roads will be constructed or repaired, aiming to improve mobility and ease traffic flow for residents.
The residents welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that improved road conditions would not only reduce congestion but also provide a boost to the local economy.
