Women University marks 75 years of Pak-China ties

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) Women University Multan organised a commemorative coin and postage stamp design competition to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

The event was arranged by the university’s Department of Art and Design in collaboration with the Higher education Department Punjab and the Chinese Consulate in Lahore. Students presented designs symbolising the longstanding friendship, cooperation and diplomatic ties between the two countries.

A total of 56 students from Women University Multan, NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology and University of South Punjab participated in the contest.

In the coin design category, Areeba Mubarak secured first position, Malaika Nazir second and Farwa Khan third.

In the postage stamp category, Muqaddas Fatima won first position, Malaika Asif second and Iman Hammad third.

Chinese consulate representatives described Pak-China relations as a timeless bond based on mutual trust and cooperation, calling China–Pakistan Economic Corridor a practical example of the strong partnership.

At the end of the ceremony, commemorative coins, shields and cultural souvenirs were distributed among the winners and visiting Chinese delegation. It was also announced that the commemorative postage stamp would soon be issued nationwide by Pakistan Post.
