Women’s mega showcase in Rawalpindi on May 12

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2026) The Women Development Department will organize a mega showcase at the Punjab Arts Council, Rawalpindi on May 12, where over 600 female students will receive certifications upon completion of various training programmes.

The participants include trainees from the Women Business Incubation Centre (WBIC) and Skill Enhancement through Home Reach (SEHR) programmes, who have acquired professional skills in digital services, hospitality and beautician work.

Tahira Aurangzeb MNA, Parliamentary Secretary Sadia Taimur and Secretary Women Development Department Punjab Saman Rai are expected to attend the event, along with officials and representatives from different walks of life.

Secretary Saman Rai said the WBIC and SEHR programmes were launched earlier this year under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to promote women’s economic empowerment.

She said the trainees had been equipped with modern and safe business skills to help them access sustainable livelihood opportunities.
