Women Police arrest accused hours after reported assault on minor girl

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) The Women Police Station Multan on Wednesday arrested an accused just hours after the alleged offense of criminal assault on a minor girl was reported.

Spokesman for CPO Multan Sadiq Ali Dogar said that accused Husnain was arrested in a swift action by a team of Women police station led by its SHO Iram Hanif.

Hakim Bibi, rresident of Muzaffarabad area of Multan told police that her daughter 'S' (11) used to go to the house of a person Mumtaz to get daily Qura’an lessons from a Qari Sahab. She said, lately she observed that her daughter looked confused and sometimes frightened and upon parents’ insistence she told them that Husnain, the son of Mumtaz, used to assault her criminally after Qari Sahab would leave the premises. She also submitted a medico-legal report to police.

A case has been registered under section 376(iii) PPC and further investigations are in progress.
