ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Mar, 2026) The last weekend of Ramazan turned bazaars nationwide into a sea of shoppers, with families from Lahore to Karachi, Peshawar to Islamabad, thronging markets in search of Eid essentials, making it one of the busiest weekends in Pakistan’s retail Calendar.

As Ramazan nears its end, media reports show bazaars and shopping hubs across Pakistan bustling with activity, with women and children thronging markets from Ichhra Bazaar in Lahore to Zainab Market in Karachi and G9 Islamabad, marking one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year ahead of Eid.

Shoppers were seen queuing at stalls and ready-made shops, browsing through colorful sandals, shoes and matching jewelry sets. “We came early to get the best designs for Eid.

The rush is huge, but the variety and prices are worth it,” said Ayesha Khan, a resident of Lahore visiting Ichhra Bazaar.

Citizens in Karachi and Islamabad echoed similar excitement. “It is amazing to see so many families out shopping together. The ready-made shops make it easier for us to pick coordinated outfits and accessories quickly,” commented Fatima Riaz, shopping at Zainab Market.

Shopkeepers in Hussain Agahi Bazar, Multan and Ichra Bazar, Lahore, also noted the surge in customers and brisk business.

We have seen a massive increase in footfall compared to last week. Items like shoes, sandals, and matching jewelry are selling fast, and families are buying in bulk to prepare for Eid,” said Abdul Qadir, a shop owner at Anarkali Bazar in Faisalabad.

They said strict monitoring and organization in bazaars helped manage the crowds smoothly.

Citizens and shopkeepers alike noted the lively atmosphere. “The children’s excitement is contagious; they run from stall to stall, picking bangles and matching outfits, while parents try to keep up,” said Fatima Riaz, a shopper in Karachi.

A shop owner at Anarkali Bazar said, “Sales are at their peak, especially for sandals, shoes and jewelry sets. Families are buying together and the festive buzz makes the bazaars truly lively this weekend.”

Bazaars across Pakistan were abuzz as families flocked to ready-made clothing shops for Eid, with children excitedly picking dresses, bangles and matching shoes while parents helped them choose, filling the markets with festive energy.
