Woman killed, six others injured during disbursement of assistance amount

SHANGLA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2026) A woman was killed and six others injured when wall of a building, used as Benazir Income Support (BISP) Centre

collapsed in Kozkana area here on Thursday.

According to details, large number of women, that had gathered in a BISP disbursement center Kozkana, leaned

on the boundary wall of the building to take rest.

The wall collapsed entrapping large number of women.

Meanwhile, locals and Rescue 1122 workers started clearing the rubble and recovered a woman who succumbed

due to injuries on the spot.

Six other women sustained injuries among which two are reported to be in critical condition.

The injured were admitted in District Headquarters Hospital Alpuri for medical treatment. Security measures have

been further beefed up at designated points after the incident.
