Woman killed, husband injured by firing during dacoity bid

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) A woman was shot dead while her husband sustained bullet injuries when armed robbers opened fire during a late-night robbery near Nawaz Sharif Agricultural University in the Booti Wala area.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, the emergency control room received a call reporting gunfire near the university, after which two ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

Rescue teams were informed that unidentified armed men had entered a house with the intention of committing robbery.

During the incident, the woman, identified as Rukhsana Bibi, wife of Nadeem Ahmed, raised an alarm, prompting the assailants to open fire.

As a result, she died on the spot, while her husband, Nadeem Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed, sustained a bullet injury to his leg.

Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured and shifted him to Nishtar Hospital for further treatment.

The body of the deceased woman was also shifted to the hospital after completion of legal formalities by the police.
