Wheat supply issues to be resolved soon: CM aide

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2026) Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, Shafi Jan on Friday said that issue of gas provision to province had been resolved through negotiations while the matter of wheat supply would be solved on priority.

Addressing a press conference in Civil Secretariat he said the problems of gas supply to KP was resolved with the persistent efforts of KP Chief Minister, Suhail Afridi who approached Federal authorities to solve the matter.

He said that all the political parties also extended due cooperation to settle the gas crises, adding that economy of the province was adversely affected due to gas shortage.

CM' s aide on Information said that maintaining law and order was a challenge and provincial government was taking result oriented steps to maintain peace in KP. He rejected the impression that KP government was not giving needed facilities to police and said that provincial government has allocated a considerable and sufficient amount for KP police forces.
