FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) Managing Director (MD) Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Saqib Raza has directed the operations staff to place all field teams on high alert to maintain effective drainage across the city and ensure that no water accumulates outside mosques and parks during Eid holidays.
In a statement here on Thursday, he said that all disposal stations would be operated at full capacity during the holidays to keep sewerage levels at a minimum and prevent any overflow in residential or public areas.
He made it clear that the entire operations staff would remain on duty throughout the Eid holidays while the officers would continue strict monitoring to ensure uninterrupted services.
He also announced a special water supply schedule for Eid days under which water would be supplied for three hours each in the morning and evening.
According to the schedule, water supply would continue from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the morning and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the evening, ensuring full pressure for the consumers during these times.
He cautioned the citizens against running motors outside the announced schedule and said that such practices could lead to contamination in the water supply system.
In case of any complaints, the consumers could contact WASA helpline at 1334 for prompt assistance, he added.
