Wajiha Qamar visits Qatar Charity Pakistan office, lauds efforts for educational development, social welfare initiatives

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qama visited the Qatar Charity Pakistan Country Office and discussed avenues for collaboration to promote quality education for underserved communities across the country.

Upon her arrival, the Minister was received by Country Director of Qatar Charity Pakistan, Mr. Othman Abu Hijleh. During the visit, the Minister was briefed on the organization’s humanitarian and development operations in Pakistan, particularly its contributions in the education sector, said press release on Wednesday.

The briefing highlighted Qatar Charity’s ongoing initiatives aimed at improving access to education, supporting vulnerable children and strengthening educational infrastructure in marginalized areas.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Wajiha Qamar appreciated the efforts of Qatar Charity in supporting educational development and social welfare initiatives in Pakistan.

She emphasized the government’s commitment to enhance partnerships with development organizations working for inclusive and equitable education opportunities.

The Minister and Mr. Othman Abu Hijleh also exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation and future partnership opportunities to further strengthen education initiatives and expand outreach to underserved communities.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting sustainable educational development and improving learning opportunities for children and youth across Pakistan.
