Wah Medical College hosts joint convocation for MBBS and BSN graduates

In a prestigious and well-attended ceremony, Wah Medical College, in collaboration with National University of Medical Sciences and University of Health Sciences, held a joint convocation on Friday to confer degrees upon graduates of the MBBS Session 2021–2025 and Generic BSN Sessions 2016–2021

WAH CANTT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) In a prestigious and well-attended ceremony, Wah Medical College, in collaboration with National University of Medical Sciences and University of Health Sciences, held a joint convocation on Friday to confer degrees upon graduates of the MBBS Session 2021–2025 and Generic BSN Sessions 2016–2021. During the ceremony, graduating doctors and nurses were formally awarded their degrees, while faculty members and families witnessed the proud moment.

Vice Chancellor NUMS, Lt Gen Wasim Alamgir, HI(M) (Retd), graced the occasion as Chief Guest, whereas Maj Gen Muhammad Kashif Azad, HI(M), DGC POF, attended as Guest of Honour. Moreover, the dignitaries congratulated the graduates and praised their dedication and perseverance, emphasising that the healthcare sector requires competent and compassionate professionals.

Meanwhile, Principal and CEO Maj Gen Abdul Khaliq Naveed, HI(M) (Retd), presented the annual institutional report, highlighting significant academic achievements and steady institutional progress.

He noted that the college has consistently maintained high standards in education and training, therefore producing skilled and disciplined medical professionals ready to serve the nation.

Furthermore, several graduates were recognised for their outstanding and exemplary performance. Dr. Komal Babar secured the Best Graduate Award, Gold Medal and a cash prize of Rs. 300,000 for achieving the highest aggregate marks. Dr. Laiba Irfan Ghauri claimed second position along with Rs. 200,000 and the Best All-Rounder Award, while Dr. Ayesha Maalik stood third and received Rs. 100,000. In addition, Dr. Abdullah Imtiaz was honoured with the Best Researcher Gold Medal, and Ms. Amna Safdar was awarded Rs. 50,000 for securing third position in the university examination, thus concluding the ceremony on a celebratory and inspiring note.
