VWPS arrests accused over woman harassment complaint

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) The Virtual Women Police Station (VWPS) established at the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) took

prompt action leading to the arrest of a private shoe store manager accused of harassing a woman.

PSCA spokesperson told media on Saturday that the victim contacted Emergency Helpline 15 and lodged her complaint through the Virtual Women Police Station.

She alleged that the accused had engaged in inappropriate conduct and had previously sent her unethical and offensive messages.

Upon receiving the complaint, the VWPS immediately initiated action and dispatched the relevant police team to the spot.

A female officer from Safe City contacted the complainant via video call, obtained necessary information, and assured her of full protection and support.

Police reached the location, arrested the accused on the spot, registered a case against him, and formally initiated legal proceedings.
