NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) District Election Commissioner Office, Shaheed Benazirabad, organized an awareness session under the youth initiative titled “Ballot Buzz – Your Vote, Your Voice” at Government Girls Degree College Nawabshah.

The session emphasized voter awareness and promotion of youth participation in the electoral process.

Addressing the session, District Election Commissioner Muhammad Yousuf Majeedano, College Principal Lala Rukh Baloch, Shabana Naz Siddiqui, and others said that in line with the directives of Election Commission, implementation of DVEC Calendar aims to raise awareness among public particularly young people about the importance of voting and the democratic process. They noted that this awareness session is part of a broader series of such initiatives.

Speakers informed that students in educational institutions will prepare an “election awareness chain” using colored papers or chart paper, on which each student will write a message related to voter awareness. They said that objective of this activity is to instill a sense of responsible citizenship among the younger generation and encourage their active participation in upcoming elections.

Speakers stressed that voter education is a fundamental pillar for ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections. Through awareness campaigns, not only is the power of vote being highlighted, but first-time voters are also being educated about the electoral process, voter registration, and the code of conduct.

At the conclusion of the session, participants reaffirmed their commitment to effective implementation of the DVEC calendar and expressed their resolve to organize activities across the district as per scheduled plan to ensure that the message of electoral awareness reaches as many citizens as possible.

On this occasion, District Election Commissioner Muhammad Yousuf Majeedano also distributed certificates among participating students and teachers. Additional Director Colleges Hussain Rind, Nusrat Shah, college faculty members and a large number of students, attended the awareness session.
