Vehicle explosion near Kohat police post kills 1, injures several others

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) A vehicle exploded near a police check post on Marai Road , killing one person and injuring several others, the official sources said on Monday.

The Rescue 1122 said the emergency teams responded to the scene and transported the wounded to nearby hospitals .

The Police cordoned off the area after the blast and opened an investigation into the cause of the explosion. The police said it was not immediately clear whether the incident was accidental or intentional.

No group immediately claimed responsibility, and they said further details were being gathered as rescue and law enforcement operations continued.
